The Zoning
Inspector of Miami Township enforces the Miami Township Zoning
Resolution. This includes issuing zoning permits for new
construction and for signs. Permits to work in the right-of-way
along township roads are also issued by the Zoning Inspector.
Changes in use of land or buildings may require review. Subdivision
of land requires zoning inspector review. The Zoning Inspector has
the authority to take appropriate action to correct violations of
the Resolution.
The Zoning
Inspector cooperates with the Greene County Soil and Water
Conservation District to insure that modifications to land do not
adversely impact surface or subsurface
drainage.
The Zoning
Inspector works as the first point of contact with the Board of
Zoning Appeals when conditional use permits are required and when
the BZA meets for its other authorized
purposes.
The Zoning
Inspector currently works with the Zoning Commission, providing
administrative support.
The Zoning
Inspector generally meets with the Township Trustees at their first
meeting each month.
