Purpose

"...enacted, and amended as necessary, for the purpose of protecting and promoting the health, safety and welfare of Miami Township residents; to secure the most  appropriate use of land resources; to promote and protect the rural aesthetic quality of Miami Township through agricultural uses and open space preservation; to regulate development density; to promote and protect environmental concerns; and to maintain a balance between the specific rights of property owners and the general welfare of the larger community."
